Xanthorrhoea leissii is a slow growing evergreen grass tree. The grass tree has a striking trunk with thin grassy leaves. The long, narrow leaves emerge from the top of the trunk and the flowers that form are white or cream-coloured in a spear-like skewer that protrudes 1 metre or more above the top.
