The fertometer measures the level of nutrients in the soil of plants. During growth season both potted plants and plants in your vegetable garden need enough nutrients to grow, to flower and to crop well. There is a limited amount of nutrients in the soil, therefore it's important to measure the level of nutrients and to fertilize in time if necessary. A light is used to indicate feeding requirements. Insert the fertometer's probe into the soil and press the button. A yellow light indicates that your plant requires feeding immediately. A green light indicates that your plant has sufficient nutrients in the soil. Do not add fertilizer if the red light shows.
